Variety?

Has anyone noticed an inconsistency between bottles? I found it to be pretty drastic at times. Usually it's just amazing even with a slight change in flavor, but once in a while it's a bit off the mark.

Recently I had one of those bottles. It seamed a bit more watery, had less pulp and didn't have that zing, I was used to.

Like a good wine, I know you get some variety, but I find it disappointing, especially at a tasting.

Score!!!

I just booked a room at the Hyatt in Indianapolis for $65/night.

After searching for the hotel on Orbitz for the Hayatt, I found their minimum price wass $145/night. Ouch.... Not to be deterred, I punched in the same details on priceline.com specifying the 4 Star deluxe option in the downtown area with a $65/night bid.

After waiting for about a minute for the computer bid to be registered, I was totally surprised to find the bid was acceptted!

In total the bid was a mere 45% of the list price!. Now all I need to do is find a room mate to split the cost. :-)

Anyone else showing up on Friday? Let's have dinner.

I've been Verved by my own brother!

Ok, I'm going down the list of potential personal sponsors and when I get to by brother I find out he is already selling Verve. After looking into it, it seems like a Red Bull clone. It's not really what I gravitate toward.

It's too bad he's already associated with them as I thought he and his family would be a great network. He's been in sales his whole life and me, this is my first real attempt to sell anything (except myself).

After a bunch of research, studying the Policy manual and emailing my uplines, it is crystal clear now that you can not use any MonaVie trademarked images, slogans or text to create your own marketing products. All have to be purchased on approved sites like Monavie, BlackDiamond University or R3Global.

Once you get to the rank of Black Diamond, you can ask for your custom made marketing materials to be approved, then you can use them.

It seems though that most people are just ignoring these conditions. With the worst offenders actually selling MonaVie Juice online either on ebay or their own websites.

I have heard that your distributor status, your whole business, can be instantly dissolved if you are caught. Is it worth it?

For now, I'll stick to materials that don't violate these principles.

In past MLM companies I've been with, they provide many templates of marketing materials like business cards, flyers, posters, stationary and the like. These can be printed freely and cheaply by the distributor. If you would like to make any alterations, there was a simple application and review process. This made the whole thing much more accessible and brought marketing costs way down.

After reviewing the prices on the above sites, and having spent time in the printing business myself, I find the prices rediculously high. I'd say they are around double what they should be. This means to me, the management of Monavie (and the high ranking distributors), want to make money from us while building their business. I find this also very distasteful. If I were running the business at the top, it would be a priority for me to reduce the distributors marketing costs as low as possible and make it easy to create new products. In fact, I'd allow distributors to sell their marketing materials right on the corporate websites.

I am such a huge supporter of the product though, that this still doesn't deter me from continuing to be a distributor.

Ousted by "The Team"

Has anyone heard of "The Team?" www.the-team.biz

I was told this was a MonaVie distribution group and I was invited to attend a meeting with them last night at local hotel.

10 minutes before the meeting was to start, I was informed that I couldn't attend as my upline was not a "Team" member.

This is a bit strange. I also heard that the "Team" is getting very special pricing discounts on MonaVie products. This seems very odd and unfair to the rest of us. If this is true, we are competing against members of the same company. I also heard that they are allowed to sell their products online and even visited a website of one of it's members that had MonaVie juice products for sale. Isn't this against the company policy?

The whole thing left a bad taste im my mouth. I would apprciate any comments on this subject and I hope I am wrong about it.

First Ventures in Selling and Signing up my first Distributor

One of my main concerns with any MLM company is their reliance on selling to friends and family and with my past MLM company, I ran into that right away. I guess I just wasn't passionate enough about the products to sell to family or friends. However, with MonaVie, I know am so passionate about it, I want all of my friends and family to use it and if they like to join the company.

On my first day after enrollment, I introduced it to my sister in law Mary as my first distributor. She will be on TDY for the military for the next six months in an area that probably will not be able to support her as a distributor, but I hope that she will at least be able to receive an auto shipment. It will take a couple of months before we find out if it will work. She also needs to do a lot of traveling, so the packets might be a better fit for her in the short term.

Now, how do I get my next customer or distributor to sign up. I have approched several relatives and have sent them a bottle through the mail. They live far away in other states so it may be difficult to pitch them effectively. I know they will love the product, but not sure they will want to become distributors. Is there any downside for signing up as a distributor right away? I'm guessing if you are a regular consumer of the product, the $40 membership fee is trivial compared to the savings over a year.

I am still not entirely sure how to sell the product. I have started reading the MAP book which one of my up lines sent me, but have many more questions than answers at this point. How can you advertise tastings? Are there any other distributors in my area? What materials do I need to have on hand to introduce new prospects?

Being in Wisconsin seems to be a bit of a blessing and a curse. I haven't found any other distributors here yet, or have seen and tastings or events posted within a reasonable drive time. There seems to be an active group in Indiana, but surprisingly I haven't seen anything in Milwaukee or Chicago. I could be a great thing to be amongst the first in my area.

New MonaVie Distributor in The Lake Country Wisconsin

I'd like to document my journey to my goal of becoming a Black Diamond MonaVie Distributor.

I was introduced to the product by one of my best and long time friend Robin and her husband Frank Ritlop. While driving through our area of beautiful South East Wisconsin, know as the Lake County, Robin and Frank enrolled us and left us a good amount of product and literature for jump starting our business. I hope to be able to repay them for their investment with us in the near future.

My wife and I are serial entrepreneurs and have been involved with one other network marketing company in the past. This was an unsuccessful experience, in part due to the product and to our limited effort in selling it. It did give us a good background though to know what to look for in other MLM companies and products. Initially, I was very against the whole idea of joining a MLM company through a bad experience I had long ago when someone mislead me in attending an Amway event in the guise of a Christmas party.

However, through the years, I have realized that network marketing could be a great way to build a business and develop passive income streams. This was inforced by continued prompting from one of my favorite role models, Robert Kiyosaki author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and numerous other books. Kiyosaki, instructs that utilizing a network marketing business model is a great way to venture into the "B" quadrant, or business owner. Being a business owner and investor is where I would like to focus my time and using a tried and proven methodology and low barrier to entry, make netowrk marketing and easy place to start.

I have been both an employee and business owner for most of my careers to date, but recocgnize that being self reliant and directed is where I want my future to lead. Studying books such as "The 4 Hour Work Week," "Rich Dad Poor Dad,"Cash Flow Quadrant," and "The Secret," emphasize how to manage your time and earning potential.

At this time, I am trying to start several small business in addition to selling MonaVie. Although spreading my time between many projects is extremely difficult to manage, taking another lesson from Kiyosaki who was stated that "9 out of 10 small business fail, so I just started 10 businesses", I too will see which will take off and which will wither.

Although skeptical about MonaVie at first due to its steep price, I quickly fell in love with it after 1 week of trying the Active juice. Feeling just great after each dose and savoring the delicious flavor with each sip, I knew this was something that I could get others passionate about and enrolled in auto-shipping.
